The car has a 289 cubic inch (4.7 liter), 200 horsepower, V8 engine with 2 barrel carburator. (Cars of this age typically have between 150,000 and 250,000 miles and many have considerable more.) The car papers verified that the astoundingly low 50,000 miles (74,000 kms) shown on the odometer was accurate! It's very rare to find a 35 year old car that has been driven only 50,000 miles. The car was located for most of its life in Yonkers NY, just north of New York City. The car had papers and records going back to the original sales order. It went to a good home and is being well cared for in Long Island, NY. I bought it in October 1996 and sold it in july 2001. The original buyer owned it for almost 30 years until he died about February 1996.

The car rolls on a set of styled steel wheels carrying Firestone raised white letter radials in 205/70R/14's. Valve sizes in all the 289 engines were identical. The 289 2bbl engine produced 200 horsepower with the use a an Autolite 2100 2bbl carburetor. and the 289 HiPo engine rated at 271 horsepower. The detailed trunk is as nice as the rest of the car with it's traditional checkered trunk mat and matching spare tire cover. The optional V-8s in 1966 were the 289ci 2bbl engine rated at 164 hp engines and then the 289ci 4bbl 210 hp engine. It features a color coordinated blue comfort weave interior with bucket seats, center console, and an AM/FM cassette radio. The car is finished in a stunning light metallic blue with gleaming brightwork, clear glass, and hi-gloss chrome. Below that is a second ’66 Mustang color chart with PPG numbers too.
